CURIOSITY CHANGED ME Verse 1 There was a time I believed growing wiser meant collecting more answers. Every conversation became a search for certainty, and every mystery felt like a problem waiting to be solved. I thought understanding life meant being able to explain it. --- Verse 2 Then I started walking with You. The strange thing wasn't how much You knew, it was how little You seemed to need to prove it. You noticed flowers before philosophies, children before conclusions, and people before opinions. I'd never met someone so comfortable with mystery. --- Pre-Chorus One afternoon I asked, "Why don't You answer every question?" You smiled and said, "What if some questions are invitations rather than problems?" --- Chorus Curiosity changed me. Not because it filled my mind, but because it reopened my eyes. I stopped trying to explain every beautiful thing, and slowly learned to stand in wonder again. --- Verse 3 I began noticing how quickly we rush through life. Watching sunsets while checking our watches. Listening only long enough to prepare our reply. Standing in forests without ever really seeing the trees. I'd been so determined to understand the world, I'd forgotten how to marvel at it. --- Verse 4 One evening we reached the top of the hill, and the whole valley lay beneath us, washed in gold. Neither of us spoke. After a while You whispered, "Some moments become smaller the moment we try to explain them." We stood there a little longer. That evening taught me more than certainty ever had. --- Pre-Chorus "I think I've spent most of my life trying to arrive," I said quietly. You smiled. "Wonder never asks to arrive. It simply invites you to keep walking." --- Chorus Curiosity changed me. It taught me that questions can open doors that answers sometimes close. The more I stopped needing to know everything, the more I discovered there was to love. Wonder had been waiting patiently for curiosity to lead me back. --- Bridge Now I don't measure a conversation by how many answers it gives me. I measure it by whether it leaves me seeing people differently, seeing myself differently, and seeing the world with the kind of eyes I thought I'd lost when I grew up. --- Final Chorus Curiosity changed me. Not because it replaced my certainty, but because it rescued my wonder. Now I don't need every mystery to disappear. Some are beautiful because they remain. Some truths aren't invitations to master life; they're invitations to walk through it with open eyes, an open heart, and enough curiosity to keep discovering that wonder was never lost— only waiting to be found again. --- Outro As we walked home, I realised the world hadn't changed.
