Two years ago, it started with a drawing and excavators. Now, campers swim among blooming aquatic plants and fragrant water lilies in crystal-clear water. Without chemicals, pure nature. Simon walks along all the plants and checks on how they are doing. Every plant has found its own spot: one is a bit drier, the other a bit wetter. You can tell immediately by the leaves. Are they turning yellow? Then the plant is not in the right place and you can move it. It is that simple. The plants were deliberately chosen because they can also withstand fluctuating water levels: Iris Pseudacorus (Yellow Iris), Pontederia Cordata (Pickerelweed), Typha Latifolia (Cattail), and Butomus Umbellatus (Rush Flower)... ...Because in a natural body of water, the water level does fluctuate from time to time. The most important lesson? If you set up a pond properly and naturally, nature does the work. With advice from Simon, Johan set up the pond in a natural way. The plants keep the pond in balance, and you can see it: crystal-clear water, flowering plants, and people swimming with pleasure.
