Skadi is a princess of an ancient, centuries-old kingdom located in the imposing ice mountains of the North. Her father was a dragon disguised as a human, with noble intentions of care and prosperity for his people. However, the arcane nature of the family always caused persecution by local paladins who deadly hunted the draconic nobles. Now of age and about to assume the crown, an arcane magical storm swept through the kingdom, causing deaths, disastrous events, and fear among the population. Skadi heroically used her dragon blood and assimilated all the wild magic into herself, saving the kingdom. Today, Skadi has become an ancient legend, a lullaby sung to children about a princess of the past. She longs for her kingdom and laments that the passage to the North, her former home, has become a trade route. However, everything is about to change. After being infected by a Mind Flayer larva, Skadi's magic and character have been corrupted, reigniting the sparks of the dormant storm in her blood and instilling an insatiable thirst for chaos, blood, and dark magic.
