Temke Dada Trek 2026 – Part 1: Chakewa to Summit

TEMKE DADA Perched at 3,010 metres above sea level, on the border of Bhojpur and Khotang in Province 1, Nepal, Temke Hill is not just a destination — it is an experience. Recognized as one of Nepal's official 100 tourism spots, it is a place where nature, culture, and spirituality converge. But to truly understand its magic, you have to earn it — step by steep step. We started our ascent to Temke Dada on the morning of 26 June 2026, from Chakewa. After reaching the summit, we made our way back down and continued the trail in the opposite direction — from Chakewa to Dhodre. This is just Part 1 of our journey. Bhojpur – ~55 km – The nearest district headquarters. Diktel – ~46–50 km – The headquarters of the neighbouring Khotang district and often the starting point for organised treks. Kathmandu – Varies (e.g., 181 km straight-line, ~276 km by road) – The distance by road is long and can vary based on the route and road conditions.
