Bambu Lab Is It SAFE?

⬇️ Coming from the Short? This video shows the HEPA filter mod I added to my Bambu Lab P1S, why I did it, and how it improves air quality compared to the stock filter. I’ve been concerned about exposure to 3D printing fumes and fine particles for years, and finally decided to do something about it. One of the reasons I chose the Bambu Lab P1S was the enclosure and built-in exhaust filtration. While researching air quality, I learned that charcoal filtration is great for odors and fumes, but it does NOT capture fine particles. That’s why I added a large HEPA filter — chosen for longevity and its ability to filter particles down to 0.3 microns — before air is exhausted back into the room. I’d love to hear what you think, or if you’ve done something different with your setup. IMPORTANT UPDATE / CORRECTION: I want to clarify a mistake I originally made in this video regarding the filter material orientation. I initially assumed the filter material was the same on both sides. After further examination, I discovered this was incorrect. The fix is simple — the filter material can be reversed inside the housing. Even in its original configuration, this setup still provides a significant improvement in air quality over the stock Bambu filter, thanks to the added carbon and high-quality fibrous material.
