101: Parkend, Moseley Green and Mallards Pike (Forest of Dean 2018)
FOREST OF DEAN WALKS FEATURING PARKEND, MOSELEY GREEN AND MALLARDS PIKE "Parkend, Moseley Green and Mallards Pike” Filmed 27th May 2018 Post-production completed 6th July 2018 Well we’ve had the 25th anniversary special and 100th film, but that doesn’t mean the celebrations are over! The celebrations are very much part of this whole year, and they continue in this film. Like most of this year’s films, this features locations visited in earlier films. Parkend was seen very briefly in “Confrontations in Cannop” from 1996 and “Denouement in Dean” from 2006, and the other two locations were seen in “Saunter in Soudley” from 2002. The weather forecast for the day I went out to film was possible thunderstorms and heavy downpours. Well I got away with it for the majority of the day’s filming, but the rain did come down for part of the day, and boy did I get drenched! Nevertheless I’m still happy with what I managed to produce during this mixed weather day, so I hope you enjoy watching the finished result. Filmed in the Forest of Dean in the county of Gloucestershire. Locations include Parkend, Dean Forest Railway, Oakenhill Wood, Moseley Green, Churchill Inclosure and Mallards Pike Lake. This continues the series of films in 2018 celebrating 25 years of “The Solitary Rambler”. Written, researched, directed, camera and sound, edited and music by Patrick Leach. "The Solitary Rambler" is my series of amateur films of my journeys in the countryside accompanied by my own musical scores, which I compose and perform on my Yamaha keyboard. Please note that, as with all the films I make, this is not actually intended to be an extensive guide to the area. This is a mini-movie of my personal journey along the walk, in which I often share some of my own personal stories. If you are new to my YouTube channel, I strongly recommend reading the description on the home page, which will provide a clearer understanding of what to expect in my films: / solitaryrambler There is also a short “Introduction to the Solitary Rambler” video, which briefly explains what my films are all about: / solitaryrambler DISCLAIMER: Although I work hard to ensure all information is correct to the best of my knowledge, I am only featuring information I have found online and/or in books during my research when putting this film together, so I cannot guarantee that there are no mistakes or errors.
