Why You Should NOT Visit Taip Banda | Hidden Reality of Taip Banda | Swat EP:04 This journey starts from Balasoor Top in the beautiful mountains of Swat Valley. The distance from Balasoor Top to Taip Banda is a little more than 80 kilometers, but because of the mountain terrain it takes around four to five hours on a motorcycle. In this vlog I share my real experience of traveling to Taip Banda, exploring the place and explaining whether it is really worth visiting or not. The road from Balasoor Top is narrow but very scenic. Green valleys, forests and mountain views make the ride very beautiful. If you have not watched my previous video from Balasoor Top, you can watch that as well to understand how the road and scenery look in this area. While coming down from Balasoor Top, the first place that appears on the route is Koza Drushkhela. From Koza Drushkhela the journey continues toward Asharay. It took almost an hour to reach Asharay, and from there the road connects with the Madyan-Bahrain-Kalam road. At Mankiyal I left the main road and turned toward the Taip Banda side. From Mankiyal the routes for Chokail Meadows, Chokail Banda, and Taip Banda all start. From this point onward the road becomes completely off-road with steep climbs and rough terrain. Construction work is going on and work is moving fast, but currently the condition of the road is very rough and mostly suitable for 4x4 vehicles. Doing this journey on a motorcycle is quite challenging, especially while riding solo. The road is uneven and sometimes I had to stop again and again during the climb. Even though the road is difficult, the scenery along the route is very beautiful with forests, mountains and green meadows appearing along the way. Before reaching Jabba Meadows, there is also a beautiful spot called Jabba Waterfall. Many travelers stop there for a short break before continuing their journey. Most visitors reach Jabba Meadows by jeep and then continue the rest of the journey by hiking. There is a small wooden bridge over the stream near Jabba Meadows, and after crossing it the real steep climb begins. The path becomes very narrow with forest and mountains all around. In several places the climb is so steep that I had to get off the bike and push it uphill. The track is rough and slow, but after almost four to five hours of riding I finally reached Taip Banda. Taip Banda is a peaceful mountain meadow surrounded by forests and mountains. Like every place created by nature it is beautiful, but honestly the place did not feel as extraordinary as it is often described online, especially considering how difficult the road is to reach there. The road is extremely rough and very long. If someone wants to see breathtaking places with easier access, there are other destinations in the region like Mahodand Lake or Kumrat Valley where vehicles can reach more easily and the scenery is also very beautiful. I originally planned to stay there for night camping, but since I was traveling solo and the environment did not feel comfortable enough to stay, I decided to return and spent the night in Kalam instead. This video simply shares my real experience of the journey. If you enjoy difficult off-road adventures and have already explored many places in Swat, then Taip Banda can still be an interesting destination to see. But if you are visiting for the first time or do not have experience with difficult mountain tracks, it may not be the best option for you.
