Homemaking in Winter

#writer #homemaker #oxford #england #family Happy New Year, friends! Making the home in the bleak winter months leads to a different kind of homemaking, doesn’t it. The decorations are down (mostly) and the glint and glimmer of the Christmas season is well-past. Now we must work to get things in order and cozy up inside. This is a lovely time to tuck in and simplify. To bake, read books, make soup, and return to those gentle routines which help to keep us grounded at home. I’d be delighted to have you join me today for a bit of this kind of winter homemaking. We’ll potter about the house making food, folding clothes, and cleaning up December’s dust. These are ordinary yet glorious days. Dear friends, let’s lean into our callings as homemakers and work hard in these spheres for Christ’s glory.
