The Secret to Growing TWICE as Much Food in One Season
🌱 Think gardening season is winding down? Think again! Here in Southwest Missouri (Zone 6b), we still have around 90 days until our average first frost, which means there's plenty of time to grow another round of fresh vegetables before winter arrives. Instead of letting empty beds sit full of weeds, I'm giving my garden a complete reset and planting for a second harvest. In today's video, I'm removing tired summer plants, cleaning up garden beds, and direct sowing crops that thrive in late summer, including: 🥕 Carrots 🥒 Cucumbers 🫘 Green Beans 🎃 Summer Squash & Zucchini 🌿 Herbs I'm also starting cool-season crops indoors under my grow lights so they'll be ready to transplant when temperatures begin to cool: 🥦 Broccoli 🥬 Cabbage 🥦 Cauliflower 🥬 Kale 🥬 Lettuce I also assemble and install the Vego Max Grow Tomato Cage to support my second planting of tomatoes and share how I'm using the Vego watering system to make watering easier during the hottest part of the season. Whether you're new to gardening or have been growing for years, don't pack it in just because it's the end of July! A fall garden can be one of the most productive gardens of the year. ⬇️ PRODUCTS MENTIONED 🌱 @vego_garden (Use my affiliate link): https://glnk.io/5jlz0/6heartson6acres 🌱 @letpot Seed Starting System: https://letpot.com/?ref=6heartson6acres ☕ Buy Me a Coffee (Support the channel): https://buymeacoffee.com/6heartson6acres ❤️ Thanks for supporting 6 Hearts on 6 Acres!
