Rope Vines Version 2
I've already done a tutorial on making vines out of rope and twine, but after using them last year I wasn't happy with the way the foam was prone to cracking, which revealed the yellow color inside. This time I did them using a cross between the Allen Hopps vine making method and my own. I used my rope and twine base, but coated it with a carpet adhesive and latex mix, similar to how Allen makes his vines. The result is a realistic looking, rough vine with a lot of little branches and tendrils hanging off of it that can be wrapped and draped in a very realistic manner. They are way more flexible than the foam covered vines and most importantly, don't crack or chip. Music by Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio
