Book Talk: „The Grammar of ‘God’ in Judaism, Christianity and Islam“
The next AIWG Book Talk will take place on July 1st. The focus will be on the volume "The Grammar of 'God' in Judaism, Christianity and Islam," which will be discussed with the editors, Dr. Farid Suleiman (University of Greifswald) and Prof. Mira Sievers (University of Hamburg), as well as contributors Prof. Genia Schönbaumsfeld (University of Southampton) and Prof. Daniel Weiss (University of Cambridge). The volume aims to explore Wittgenstein's insights into language and religion and to engage them fruitfully with Judaism, Christianity, and Islam in order to shed new light on the grammar of the word "God." Starting with the question of how religious language functions and what this means for understanding conceptions of God in the Abrahamic religions, key themes of the volume will be discussed during the live conversation. The event will be held in English and moderated by Nadeem Elias Khan (AIWG). Participants will have the opportunity to ask the scholars questions via live chat.
