The 21st century has afforded us great advances, but is possible that we’ve actually taken a few steps back? Our future depends on our ability to embrace the human element and value obtaining a fundamental understanding of what servant leadership is and why it is relevant to us as individuals and as a society. We need to see you each other for who we really are, human beings, not “connections”. We need to identify ways for us to improve our individual commitment to those that we serve and support in order for us to achieve the outcomes we desire in the future. Servant leadership allows for us to accomplish this. Authenticity means being comfortable in your own skin. Authentic leaders have self-awareness, self-respect, self-confidence, and emotional maturity. They prize integrity above image, and they seek to build trust with others on the basis of their personal character.
