Yau Bee Ling – Structural Voids
Malaysian artist Yau Bee Ling has been painting for over three decades, and her eighth solo exhibition at Wei-Ling Gallery, 'Structural Voids' (9 May – 6 June 2026), invites us to pause and pay attention to the spaces we so often walk past without a second thought. The gaps, the silences, the in-between. In her hands, these voids are not empty. They carry weight, meaning, and a quiet kind of philosophy that runs through everything she makes. This episode also marks the release of her new book, 'The Weaving of Life: Art, True Trials and Triumphs', a deeply personal account of her journey as an artist, a mother, and a woman who has spent thirty years weaving meaning out of paint and canvas. The book is available for purchase at the gallery for RM250. Check with us on availability.
