Gaza Darna Shelter: Haneen's privacy restored

"Rebuilding Alliance’s shelter might be able to provide me, at the very least, with the privacy I once had before the war." — Haneen. Before the war, Haneen's home was filled with love, family, and simple moments she still holds close to her heart. She remembers cooking alongside her husband, Amir, in their small kitchen while their children played nearby; a life that felt ordinary then, but means everything now. After being displaced multiple times, Haneen and her family found themselves living in a crowded shared space, separated from other families by curtains, with little privacy and no comfort. This past weekend, Haneen moved into a Gaza Darna Transitional Shelter. For Haneen, this shelter means a place where her children can sleep comfortably, play, draw, and simply be together. It means having a kitchen of her own, a bathroom without a queue, and the privacy and dignity that every family deserves. Haneen's story is one among millions.
