Decorative Sign Frames Wrap Up

Hi guys! I am finishing up the frames that I am using as sign labels for my decorated craft file boxes. Today I am showing how I use Liquitex white acrylic gesso to put a white wash over the frames to get a Shabby Chic look. I first cut small strips of cardboard for the frame, and hot glued them onto the cardboard back. I used two layers of the cardboard strips to create more depth. I then used brown kraft paper and the paper mache method (which I showed in the previous video) to create a finished look. Next, I painted them with slightly watered down gesso and allowed them to dry. I put finishing touches of thin streaks with Folk Art brand chalk paint in Patina. If needed, I also added brown back in using Prismacolor colored pencils, Once completely dry, I use Mod Podge Matte Glue to seal them. https://www.amazon.com/FolkArt-Furnit...
