The explosion disaster at the Steingletscher near Sustenpass on November 2, 1992 - defective secret material, the BL-64 Bloodhound air defense system leads to the disaster - a documentation and technical cause analysis based on the meanwhile published reports and manufacturer information. Already a few months after the disaster the reasons were clear to the investigators and were recorded in the corresponding report, it was the solid boosters of the Bloodhound system - only because of the secrecy the public was never informed about it because the system was still classified as secret - this film now wants to clean up 20 years later. I was trained myself on the BL-64 system and therefore the interest here was particularly large and also already the know-how - about which we had to be silent for a long time. Conjectures suggest that the Russian S-200 air defense system (NATO code SA-5 Gammon) is a copy of the BL-64 Bloodhound.
