El Barroco --Plan Urbano del Papa Sixto V para la ciudad de Roma

At the end of the 16th century, the Roman papacy was going to promote the most gigantic urban planning operation ever seen in the city of Rome. Sixtus V, Cardinal Felice Peretti, was the one who carried out a series of urban and building initiatives and projects that would contribute to affirming a new sense of power and of the organization and development of the city. He was the one who was able to capture in a Coherent and lasting Plan what his predecessors had thought of but were unable to achieve, which has earned him the title of the first modern Urban Planner.
