Our First Night in Tokyo 🇯🇵 Cherry Blossom, Shibuya & SPICY Japanese Curry at Coco + CHEAP room tour

Join us as we arrive in Tokyo, Japan for the very first night of our Japanese adventure! After checking into the Grand Central Hotel, a surprisingly good budget hotel (super cheap!) just one stop away from Tokyo Station, we give you a full room tour and share our first impressions of the stay. With only a short amount of time before the sun goes down, we head across the city to Nakameguro to catch the last of Tokyo’s cherry blossom season (the end of the first week of April 2026). We take a peaceful walk alongside the famous canal, soaking up the atmosphere as the remaining sakura trees create one of the most beautiful scenes in the city. From there, it is time to experience the energy of Shibuya. We explore the iconic streets, take in the neon lights and crowds, and enjoy that unforgettable feeling of being in Tokyo for the first time. Of course, no first night in Japan would be complete without food, so we finally try Coco Ichibanya in its home country. We put our spice tolerance to the test with a Japanese curry that turns out to be much hotter than expected!
