Alpha Touring Challenge | Season 17 | Round 6 | Chicago | iRacing

Today marks Round 6 of Season 17 of the Alpha Touring Challenge (ATC) as brought to you on iRacing, powered by Syncmesh and Glass & Steel Photography and Design. We shall be taking a look back at all of the racing action which took place on Monday 25th May 2026 with the aim of bringing it to you as if it were live! We complete the first half of the season on the streets of Chicago. Born on the iRacing platform in 2021 and made reality for NASCAR in 2023, this 2.14 mile circuit situated in Grant Park marries together numerous straights and heavy braking zones to create a course where battles may break out at every corner and no position is safe until the finish line! In the Alpha Drivers’ Championship, despite missing out on his third win of the season to Michael Polasek at Long Beach following post-round stewarding, Wojciech Swirydowicz has retained his lead at 18 points ahead of Matthew Meilleur with drop-scores now in effect. Can the Season 7 champion remain one step ahead today? In the Gamma Drivers’ Championship, whilst he may have been beaten to the class win on strategy by Jon Lauzon in California, Fleet Smith did not waste his chance to take the lead in the title fight. Now leading by ten points ahead of Lauzon, can Smith maintain his position at the top? Or will his lead be temporary? In the Delta Drivers’ Championship, a nightmare round for Zac Hudacko has seen him relinquish the lead to Tyler Long who took his first class win of the season last round. Leading by 21 points, Long will be all too wary of the demons of last season, especially with so many in the class looking on race-winning pace! How will our drivers fare at the intriguing Illinois circuit? Tune in and find out!
