In his book "Journey on Foot," Colombian philosopher Fernando González Ochoa sets out to dismantle what Antioquia held as sacred in his time: superficial morality, fear of the body, greed disguised as virtue, and religiosity devoid of faith. As a consequence, the archbishops of Medellín and Manizales forbade its reading under penalty of mortal sin. Using "Journey on Foot" as a starting point and drawing on other texts by González Ochoa, this episode will explore aspects of his philosophical temperament, his concern with the relationship between humankind and the divine and the infinite, and the role of remorse and introspection in the process of self-improvement.
