Dye an Interesting Spinning Fiber with Just one Color - Ombre dyeing
Today I demonstrate how I dye 1-color roving in a slow cooker by letting the colors uptake unevenly for an intentional fade. It's a simple way to experiment with just one color dye. Great if you are just starting out and don't have many colors to choose from, or you're looking to do something a little different with the usual one-color dyeing of your roving. This form of dyeing is also a great way to maximize your dye to achieve several different shades of the same color for fiber blending later. For this video, I do two color samples for spinning in a later video. Thanks for watching! About Me I am a self-taught indie dyer and spinner from Nova Scotia, Canada, with 14 years of experience, figuring it out as I go. My hope is that my videos inspire you to try something new with your craft. More about me: https://leilanihandmade.com
