A flowchart is a graphical representation of the sequence of steps in a process. It is a documentation tool that enables understanding of how the process works. Recognized as one of the quality tools, the flowchart is structured by geometric symbols that indicate activities, decisions, connectors, beginning and end. This tool helps business professionals define, measure, analyze, and propose solutions to problems that interfere with the performance of a company's organizational processes.
