Hi! I'm Mari, the wife of Nakamoto Fuufu! I know many people who are struggling with not knowing how to deal with their husbands with ADHD, so I've put together a summary of how I finally accepted my husband's ADHD. My husband was diagnosed with ADHD before we started dating and had been taking appropriate measures, but living together proved to be a whole different challenge. It's hard to imagine given our current situation, but when we first started living together, I was so worried I cried every day, I almost developed Cassandra syndrome, and divorce even crossed my mind. But I was able to face my husband head-on because of his natural temperament. Developmental disorders such as ADHD and ASD (Asperger's syndrome/Autism spectrum disorder) are difficult to deal with unless both the person with the disorder and their partner are equally enthusiastic about them. If you consider the characteristics of ADHD and the person's temperament separately, you may be able to see things a little differently. This time I've focused on developmental disorders in adults, but I think there may be some useful information for those struggling with children with developmental disorders as well. That said, what I've said is only my own case as a couple, so please take it only as a reference.
