Laurencekirk Station is located on the Scottish rai line between Aberdeen and Dundee. The Station is managed by Scotrail and sees services operated only by Scotrail call here: With Scotrail services from here either heading towards Inverurie, Aberdeen or towards Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow All Scotrail services at the time of filming are operated using Class 158 and Class 170 DMU's as well as Class 43 High Speed Trains, with the latter due for withdrawal from service in a few years time,
