Talk given by Dr. Hooshmand Badee on May 30, 2026 Dr. Hooshmand Badee is an academic economist, writer, and researcher with more than three decades of experience in higher education. An advocate of "ethical economics," his doctoral research focused on Bahá'í Economics. He is the author of several books, including the recent publications Research Method Made Simple, Towards a Sustainable Economic Life, and the revised edition of Economics and the Bahá'í Faith. He also contributed the chapter "Bahá'í Economic Ethics" to the Oxford University Press volume Religion and Economic Ethics. His current research projects include two forthcoming works: Economics and the Secret of Divine Civilization and Ḥuqúqu'lláh: A Spiritual Framework for Economic Justice. Born in Iran, Dr. Badee is a Canadian citizen currently residing in Scotland. He served for ten years as a faculty member of the Wilmette Institute and has been a faculty member at the Bahá'í Institute for Higher Education (BIHE) in Iran for the past ten years.
