What a Huge Crocodile Did to This Wild Pig...
⚠️ Viewer Warning: This video contains footage and discussion of a wild pig that was attacked by a crocodile. Some viewers may find the images distressing The Aussie Fisherman Greg is mud crabbing in the Queensland mangrove creeks and today we came across a reminder of just how wild croc country can be. After spotting a wild pig floating down the creek that had been attacked by a huge crocodile, it was clear something big was moving around these waterways. It's a powerful reminder that when you're working these creeks, you're sharing them with some of Australia's largest predators. While checking the pots, Richard joins me on the water and does a great job tying up a mud crab for the first time. We also take a look at the signs left behind on the mud banks, including wild pig digging marks where they search for small crabs and other food along the shoreline. The crabs were certainly active. Pot after pot produced a mixture of bucks and jennies, with plenty being released to protect future stocks. One pot was absolutely packed with mud crabs and required careful handling to stop them damaging each other. One of the biggest surprises of the day was discovering that despite the huge number of crabs in one pot, only a single mud crab was actually full and worth keeping. A great lesson in why experience and careful selection matter when choosing which crabs to take home. Along the way I share bait tips, explain why colder weather helps bait last longer, feed the fish hawks, and show exactly what a real day of mud crabbing in Queensland looks like. Lucky my crabbing is better than my Maths...4 plus 16 definitely doesn't add up to 21 like i say 😆 Filmed with GoPro cameras and powered by Yamaha Outboards. ➡️ Grab your FREE bait guide & crabbing log here: https://stan.store/TheAussieFisherman ➡️ Watch more crabbing & fishing adventures here: / @theaussiefisherman Filmed in: Queensland, Australia Target Species: Mud Crab (Scylla serrata) If you enjoy my fishing and crabbing videos please, like, share and subscribe.
