La reacción de ÓSCAR PUENTE a la sentencia de ÁBALOS, KOLDO y ALDAMA: "Desproporcionada"

The Supreme Court issued its verdict this Monday in the face mask case, which was adjourned for sentencing on May 6. The result is that former minister José Luis Ábalos, his former ministerial advisor Koldo García, and businessman Víctor de Aldama have been convicted, although there is a significant difference between the sentences of the first two and the last. The High Court sentenced former minister José Luis Ábalos to 24 years in prison and Koldo García to 19 years for crimes of organized crime, bribery, embezzlement, and influence peddling. It also established that the maximum sentences to be served are 16 and 15 years, respectively. As for Aldama, the sentence is four and a half years, but the execution of the sentence was suspended due to "his contribution to the discovery of the crimes" and the condition that he not reoffend, submit a semi-annual activity report, and perform one year of community service.
