Recovering Forward: ain't no time to retreat
Struggling to gain distance? Attacks falling short and your opponent is well out of distance? Wanting to keep up the pressure? Then stop recovering back and start Recovering Forward! A very simple action that, when applied properly, can change the entire game for maintaining pressure, pursuing a fleeing opponent, or quickly crushing distance. Rather than returning to your en garde position from which your attack originated, you can recover to a forward en garde in which you retain the ground you arrived when completing your lunge.
