Pressing an Attack: rushing vs. pressure
Making an attack by rushing and by pressure are very different and have equally different outcomes in the bout. In this video, learn the basic differences between rushing an attack and using pressure to make an attack. Pressing an attack rarely requires a lot of immediate power and speed, but rather, the time to build up and setup the actual attack. This setup builds up the pressure the opponent feels, potentially panicking them into doing something foolish or poorly timed that increases the overall outcome of your attack.
