N2 Track Day - NJMP 06/29/26

By noon… the heat had officially arrived. The motorcycle was hot. The asphalt was hot. The paddock was hot. Everything was HOT! 🥵 Between sessions it was a constant cycle of finding air conditioning, drinking water, cooling down, and getting ready to head back out. On track, the focus shifted back to fundamentals. Better racing lines. Better body position. Smoother throttle control. Later and harder braking. There’s so much to think about, but the trick is improving one small thing at a time without overloading your brain. Fear is always waiting for an opportunity to take over, especially when you’re trying something new. I managed a few clean passes throughout the session, mostly by braking later into corners—a technique that can make a huge difference in the Novice group when done safely. Still, every lap reminds me just how much there is to learn before reaching the pace of the Advanced and Expert riders. And honestly… that’s part of the fun.
