N2 Track Day - NJMP 06/29/26

The day started with the standard N2 Novice procedure: one controlled sighting lap, followed by a slightly faster second lap before everyone was released to enjoy Thunderbolt. For some reason, things just didn’t click. I wasn’t feeling confident, and after making a few mistakes early on, I let those mistakes grow inside my head. Instead of focusing on the next corner, I was replaying the previous one. Fear slowly took over, and my riding became hesitant. Sometimes the biggest obstacle on track isn’t the motorcycle, the tires, or the corner… It’s your own mind. After the session ended, I spent some time reflecting, talking to myself (yes… literally 😂), and reminding myself why I’m here: to learn, improve, and enjoy every lap. Every track day is a new lesson, and this one started with a very important one.
