MATTERHORN HORNLI - HUT HIKE. EXHILARATING AND TERRIFYING

The hike to Hornli Hut is a strenuous, high altitude trek in the Swiss Alps, offering spectacular views of the Matterhorn and surrounding peaks. The most common route starta at Schwarzee, a popular cable car destination, and involves challenging sections with metal grating, bridges, and steep gravel paths before reaching the Hut at 3,260 metres ( 10,700 feet ). It is best done from July to mid - September, requires good physical condition and sure - footedness, and an early start is recommended crowds and afternoon clouds.
