First Time Hearing Ian Brown – "FEAR" | I Finally Figured Out the Hidden Trick!

Today I'm reacting to Ian Brown – "FEAR", a Super Thanks request from @jimtow899. Jim, thank you so much for your continued support of the channel! This one was a really interesting departure from the Stone Roses sound. Right away I noticed the layered production, the beautiful acoustic guitar, and the orchestral strings that gave the song a completely different atmosphere than what I've heard from Ian Brown before. The most fascinating part of the song, though, was the lyrics. It took me until the second verse to realize what was happening, but every group of lines forms an acrostic, with each line beginning with the letters F-E-A-R. Once that clicked, I couldn't help but appreciate just how creative and well thought out the songwriting really is. Musically, I enjoyed the dynamics and the way the different layers came together throughout the song. It's probably one I'd have to be in the right mood to listen to, but there's no denying it's a clever, well-crafted piece of music. Overall, another great recommendation and definitely a thumbs up!
