Flooding at Manchester Airport Causes Runway to Close - Wet Tailwind landings and RWY 05R Departures

On Saturday 8th September, it rained really heavily for a few hours causing a build up of standing water on the main runway (23R/05L) at MAN/EGCC. This meant that they had to use the second runway, 23L/05R for both takeoffs and landings. Due to unique way the runway is laid out, there isn't a taxiway the full length of the runway meaning that departing aircraft from 05R have to back taxi down the runway and use the turn around loop at the end.
