Embraer E190-E2 'Shark' Profit Hunter DEMONSTRATION FLIGHTS at Manchester Airport

During the last few weeks the aircraft manufacturer Embraer has been been undertaking a 'European demonstration' tour' of their new E190-E2 aircraft. Having already visited airports such as Warsaw, Amsterdam and Helsinki, the next stop for the E2 aircraft , registered PR-ZGQ, was Manchester where it landed on Monday 24th September from Brussels. The aircraft was at Manchester to complete a number of customer demonstration flights, with the customer being British Airways Cityflyer. After night-stopping on the 24th today (25th) the aircraft embarked on a number of flights throughout the day. First departing at 11:00, arriving back at 11:45. Departing again at 14:00 and arriving again just before 15:00. The aircraft departed 23L at Manchester where it completed some short circuits of the north of England before returning to Manchester, arriving on runway 23R. The aircraft was wearing the 'Shark Livery', and also wore the name 'Profit Hunter', This livery was applied in the run up to the Farnborough Air show in July, where Embraer displayed the E2. The E190 E2 is one of three new aircrafts to be manufactured by Embraer with the E170 E2 and E195 E2 to be developed in the near future. The E190 E2 currently has 50 firm orders. The first E2 entered into service with Norweigan airline WIderoe Airlines back in the early summer. PR-ZGQ was the 4th E2 test frame to be built in March 2017 and has already undertaken tours of Asia and Africa.
