【JR松山駅】見慣れない車両の正体は DEC741検測車

This time, I documented an unfamiliar train that appeared at JR Matsuyama Station. Its appearance is something you don't normally see in regular service. At first glance, it looks like a passenger train, but it's actually an inspection train used to check the condition of the tracks and equipment. This train is JR West's "DEC741," and its role is to inspect various equipment while traveling. It has a pantograph, so it looks like a train, but this train is powered by a diesel engine that generates electricity, which is then used to power the motors. This allows for inspections even on non-electrified sections of the line. Incidentally, the "DEC" in DEC471 stands for diesel-electric car.
