One Storm Away From Collapse | Garage Corner Rescue
Remodel EP: 23 This project jumped higher on the danger scale than I originally planned. In this video, I start tearing out a structurally failed corner of the garage that I should’ve probably dealt with a long time ago. The corner was in seriously bad shape, so instead of kicking the problem down the road, I decided to remove it completely and rebuild it the right way. Before anything could come apart, I had to build temporary supports to hold the structure while I removed the damaged corner section. From there, the demolition began—pulling apart rotted framing, exposing the failing support area, and trying not to make the situation worse in the process. Things got sketchy fast. At one point I barely avoided getting taken out by a falling 4x4 post, and Briggs somehow found himself under attack from a giant spider while supervising the operation. The next steps will be jackhammering the old concrete, pouring a proper footer, laying CMU block, and rebuilding the corner from the ground up. Overall, somehow, this still counts as a success. Even if there were a few moments where the plan felt... questionable.
