ADIN e parceiros reajustam estratégias de resposta aos eventos terroristas em Cabo Delgado
The Integrated Development Agency of the North (ADIN) is developing a study to readjust strategies for combating the violent extremism that has plagued Cabo Delgado province since 2017. In a three-day meeting with partners implementing development projects, ADIN seeks to improve tactics in responding to attacks that have already displaced thousands of families, in a training session on Prevention and Combating Violent Extremism. According to the source, the current reality does not correspond to the response vision previously outlined in the Cabo Delgado reconstruction plan, which was budgeted at 19 billion meticais. The Cabo Delgado government acknowledges the efforts of partners in implementing post-crisis responses aimed at providing solutions for needy families in the province. ADIN is also focusing on discussing post-terrorism development strategies with partners, as this allows for the evaluation of the effectiveness of implemented programs. Approximately R$ 300 million has already been invested in the stabilization and recovery program for the Northern crisis.
