Automated Clover Hay Is Twice as Profitable as Alfalfa | Farming simulator 25 | Judith Plains | #90

Welcome back to the Judith Plains Montana Farm Timelapse. Today on Judith Plains, we begin with a large product-selling operation. First, we collect pallets of potato chips and pizza from our factories and deliver them for sale. Next, we transport bread from the bakery, adding several million dollars to our farm budget. After that, we visit our sheep farms, load pallets of wool, and deliver them to the rope factory for further processing. With our logistics work complete, we move on to harvesting clover hay. We travel to newly purchased fields and set up our automated harvesting convoy. The operation is led by a tractor equipped with a wide mower, followed by four tractors with tedders and balers, while flatbed trucks collect the finished bales. Using the Follow Me system, the entire harvesting process works as one coordinated unit. The highlight of the episode comes when we sell our first loads of clover hay. Two trucks carrying a total of 90 square bales head to the sales point. The results are impressive: clover hay proves to be nearly twice as profitable as alfalfa hay. While 45 alfalfa hay bales sell for just over $80,000, the same number of clover hay bales brings in more than $150,000. With profits like these, large-scale hay production could become one of the most profitable activities on the farm.
