Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful! (The song, not my edit, though I hope you like that too 😉💖) I've been wanting to make this edit for a long, long time, and finally had the chance to do it! I love this song, it's comforted me so many times, and I'm really happy to pair it with the story I love in Miraculous. (Or the characters rather...I don't even know what's going on anymore 😂🙃😏) There's something so special about having someone you can go to whenever you're feeling hurt or alone, but I think we forget that sometimes. (at least, I know I do) If there's one thing to say about Adrien and Marinette, it's that they're very persistent. (Both as superheroes and in pursuing each other 😉) And that's something I love about this song - the idea of someone persistently offering love even when it's not asked for. And I don't mean forcing your feelings on someone, I mean intentionally choosing to love them and looking out for their needs and being there for them, no matter how they treat you. I was gonna try to be vague and lead into this, but I'll be honest - when I hear this song it reminds me of God. ☺💕 (and those of you who know me probably could tell it was heading there anyway 😅😉) One of my most treasured and impactful Bible verses that I've memorized is 1 Peter 5:7 which says "Casting all your cares upon him, for he cares for you." 💞 We all have cares, right? Whether it's fears, worry, sadness, or just plain feeling lonely, it can be hard to go through life sometimes. But wouldn't it be nice to know there was someone right there in it with you? Standing by your side and offering you a hand to hold and carry you away from it all. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love the Marichat balcony scene. 🥰 (Specifically from the first Glaciator) I love how Marinette so trustingly puts her head on his shoulder and the little smile he gives as he carries her away. It was so hard not to use that scene throughout basically the whole song, but I wanted to save it for the bridge because even though they weren't able to change what had happened, just having a friend was enough. And I love how beneath all the complicated love stuff and confusing identities, they truly are friends first and care to listen to each other's troubles. Sometimes just knowing someone cares, can make all the difference. God wants to be that difference in your life. He sees your hurt and wants to free you from that burden. You don't have to carry it alone. Jesus loves you. And it’s not just a flippant love. It’s a deeply personal, unconditional, sacrificial, wholesome love that chases after you even when you push it away. You are precious to him. Created by him. And he wants you to know him and trust your heart to his care. He offers to be there for you through all the highs and lows of life, and be a shoulder you can always depend on.
