Unfortunately there are a lot of mean people out in the world who say a lot of really mean things, but often it's our own minds that constantly point out every little flaw and compare ourselves to others. You might be excellent at performing a certain skill or have an abundance of many admirable character traits, and yet the mind has a tendency to disregard it and say "Oh yeah? Well, that person can do it better." (my mind says that anyway 😏🙃😉) We often hold ourselves to a standard that we would never impose on others, or we've felt defeated and worthless for so long that we gave up on the hope of even trying. It's so so easy - especially nowadays - to get caught up in an endless cycle of comparison and feeling like you can never measure up or even compete with those around you, but here's a friendly reminder: you don't have to! 💖 You are AMAZING just the way you are, and you don't have anything to prove. You're trying your best and it's never too late to learn and grow. Life is a constant journey of improvement, and just because you're not so good at something now doesn't mean you'll never be later. Don't let your mind force you into competing and comparing yourself to everyone, because - just like Adrien - the only one you're competing against is yourself. You can be perfectly happy with who you are as a person and still be open to improvement and change. Instead of tearing yourself up and stressing yourself out about all the things you're not, remind yourself of all the things you are and all the things you are learning to be. ✨ Most of you are probably familiar with the saying "Treat others the way you want to be treated" and we need to remember to treat ourselves with kindness too.
