First, my debut on Caracol TV's "Día a Día," representing Germany during the World Cup and cooking Bratwurst mit Kartoffelsalat against an Ecuadorian chef. Then, a picnic with my neighbors here in Bogotá. And to top it all off, a romantic night at Casa Kolibri in Pacho, Cundinamarca: lake, kayaking, pool, and all greenery. 📍Locations: / kolibripacho / arteypasioncafe 00:00 It's my birthday! 01:19 National Television 06:51 Picnic with Friends 10:14 Romantic Getaway 25:29 Final Reflection 👩🏼🍳 BRATWURST WITH GERMAN KARTOFFELSALAT (German Sausage with Warm Potato Salad) — 8 servings INGREDIENTS: 8 Bratwurst (German grilled sausages) 1.2 kg firm potatoes (such as Sabanera or Pastusa) 1 medium onion 6-8 small gherkins (Gurken) 4 Tbsp of gherkin liquid 1 cup chicken or beef broth 3 Tbsp white vinegar 2 Tbsp German or Dijon mustard 3 Tbsp butter 1 tsp brown sugar 3 Tbsp fresh chives Salt and pepper to taste Toppings Extra mustard for serving (Optional: 2-3 Tbsp vegetable or olive oil) PREPARATION: 1. Wash the potatoes well and cook them whole with the skin on in salted water until tender but firm. Drain and let cool slightly. 2. Peel them while still warm and cut them into slices or cubes. Set aside. 3. Finely chop the onion. Slice or quarter the pickles. 4. In a small saucepan, heat the broth along with the onion, vinegar, pickle juice, mustard, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
