Submarine Buns

Submarine Buns Prep Time: 15 minutes Rise: 1.5 hours Cook Time: 20-25 minutes 4 10-12” buns 1 cup warm water 1 tbsp instant yeast 1 1/2 tsp of salt 1 tbsp sugar 4 tbsp oil Mix let stand 5 minutes. 2 1/2-3 cups flour 1. In an electric mixer bowl add water, yeast, salt, sugar and oil. Let activate for 5 minutes. Add 2.5 cups of bread flour. Add additional flour until the dough pulls off the side of the bowl when using the dough hook. Once this happens set timer and continue to knead for eight minutes. Remove dough hook and dough from bowl and put some oil in the bowl and put the dough back in. Then flip the dough over and cover with a damp clean cloth and allow to rise for half hour or until doubled in size. 2. Turn out onto lightly floured surface and cut in half and then half again to make 4 equal proteins. Roll each portion with rolling pin to a rectangle approximately 4”x8”. Roll each one up and place on a lined baking sheet. Cover with a clean dry towel and allow to rise 1 hour in a cold oven with the light on. 3. Preheat oven to 350. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven and while hot brush with butter and cover with the same clean dry kitchen towel until completely cool. #goodfood #easyrecipe
