The following is resonance with the picking or grabbing action as well as fruits. I demonstrate transforming from one fruit to the other. Important note: what can make the following exercise different than something like pantomime is the fact that there is transformation or entering into the ma (between zone). As mentioned in another video, butoh can have many starting places such as contemporary dance, karate, theatre. Let's note that in pantomime, there is clarity in communication, yet in butoh, this may not be so whatsoever, but oftentimes there is an obscuring or clouding of the body as Tatsumi Hijikata mentioned at the beginning of his Ailing Dancer stream of consciousness writing. In other words, it's not about being literal or communicative, but to get lost or made to enter into another zone. In this zone, we are entering into the different gateways between these fruits, and our picking/grabbing action is unlike anything seen in the human world.
