Man climbs Palace of Westminster gates as police deal with Extinction Rebellion

A man believed to be affiliated with Extinction Rebellion somehow managed to climb the gates at the Palace of Westminster, bringing the area to a standstill whilst police use a JCB hoist to remove him. Elsewhere Extinction Rebellion occupied several roads after being removed from Trafalgar Square as police 'banned' any further action that risked leading to serious disruption/disorder and have said anyone found to be taking part will face arrest. Police forces from all over the UK even as far as Scotland are in London for the week to deal with the ongoing disruption.
