Ari Nuzul Aulia, explained the motive behind the tragic murder of a woman named Merinda Tri Agustin (22). The perpetrator, none other than the victim's boyfriend, Ari (18), was apprehended by police less than 24 hours after the victim's body was discovered. The victim was found lying on her back on a mattress, naked, at her residence in Kalipenggung Village, Randuagung District, Lumajang Regency on Friday (July 3, 2026). The act was driven by spontaneous emotions. After having sex, the victim became irritated when she saw the perpetrator continuously playing with his smartphone. This sparked a heated argument. The emotional victim then hurled insults and curses at the perpetrator's parents. Feeling offended and enraged, the perpetrator immediately planned an act of violence. "The victim became angry and insulted the perpetrator's parents. Afterward, the perpetrator left the victim's house to get some wood, then returned and hit the victim three times," said AKP Ari Nuzul on Sunday (July 5, 2026).
