GOVERNOR BENJAMIN CALLS FOR SERVICE AND UNITY DURING MANUS PROVINCIAL PRAYER AND DEDICATION DAY

Manus Provincial Governor Hon. Charlie Benjamin has called on public servants, leaders and the people of Manus to embrace service, humility and unity as the province moves into 2026. Delivering the main address during the Provincial Prayer and Dedication Day, the Governor reflected on the theme “Not to be served but to Serve.” He reminded public servants that their core mandate is to serve the people and ensure effective public service delivery, stressing that 2026 is no time for complacency and that officers must work harder to meet public expectations. The Governor also urged leaders to practice humility and pursue people-centred developments. Addressing the wider Manus population, Governor Benjamin called for unity and support to drive government aaspirations While acknowledging the challenges ahead, he said the province stands to benefit in the year ahead, and encouraged collective readiness from leaders, public servants and the greater Manus Populace.
