Add the garlic, ginger, and green chili pepper, and reduce the heat to low-medium. 4. Add the canned tomatoes and sauté briefly. 5. Add the thunapaha, turmeric, and salt, and mix quickly to prevent burning. 6. Add the chicken and sauté until the surface turns white. 7. Add the strained tamarind, add the remaining water, cover, and simmer over low-medium heat for 12-15 minutes. 8.
