Human Nature and the Divine Law – Sohail Hanif

Dr Sohail Hanif expounds on the importance of nurturing the human soul by adherence to Divine Law, drawing on profound lessons from Surah At-Tin (the Fiq) and Surah Ash-Shams (the Sun). This lecture was given in April at the Cambridge Muslim College Retreat 2017. --- Dr Sohail Hanif is a Lecturer of Islamic Studies and BA (Hons) Programme Manager at Cambridge Muslim College. He won the 2019 BRAIS De Gruyter Prize for his dissertation - A Theory of Early Classical Ḥanafism: Authority, Rationality and Tradition in the Hidāyah of Burhān al-Dīn ‘Alī ibn Abī Bakr al-Marghīnānī.
