I re-roofed my entire kitchen by my self and installed a skylight

Well, typical of renovating an old house this isn't! Just got the kitchen ripped out and then the roof starts leaking! I drilled a couple of holes into the ceiling and put a borescope up there but couldn't see anything usefull so decided to bite the bullet and planned to re-do the roof. I summised quite early on that the problem would be the pitch of the roof, those tiles are rated for minum of 17 degrees but the roof is 12 degrees, plus the one quarter of the house roof sheds onto it which is probably an even bigger problem. I got a bit worried when removing all the tiles as i'd started at the far end where everything looked fine, quite well put together actually! But when I got to the house end I could see where the water was coming it, right under where the main roof downspout exits to, so that confirmed my diagnosis. So the solution was simply to do a belt and braces refit with counter battens which lift the tile battens above the underlay to allow water to flow under, then re-route the downspout onto the gutter, we haven't had much rain since but so far so good!
